Brief Introduction
“CS1600 Series Cloud Stone Core Layer Routing Switch” chassis series is designed for the next generation of big data networks. Using the unblocked angile architecture, the “cloud stone” chassis series can meet the rapidly changing needs of cloud computing, IoT and data center, realizing faster development and lowering CAPEX for ISPs & large enterprise customers.
Ø Adaptive Campus & IDC Network
Campus Networks prefer traditional Layer-3 Infrastructure, to connect PCs, mobile devices, with smaller ‘layer-2 but larger layer-3’ hardware tables, such as IPv6 routing and MPLS tables. But IDC network often prefer Layer-2 Infrastructure, to connect servers, storage. A ‘larger layer-2 but smaller layer-3’ hardware table is required with features like virtualization, TRILL, VEPA, etc. CS 16809 supports dynamically assigning table resources, with abundant data center features, to meet both the requirements of Campus and IDC Infrastructure.
Ø Traditional business network & adaptive SDN
CS16809 supports OpenFlow1.3 for SDN network (Software Defined Network), which can seamlessly upgrade from traditional network to SDN network, to reduce TCO.
Ø 14U compact design
With a compact 14U design, 3 CS16809s can be installed in one cabinet, resulting in a maximum of 432 40GE ports or a maximum of 1296 10GE ports, which is the highest port density in the industry.
Ø Three separate areas (management, control and switching)
The CS 16809 has three separate areas: the management plane, the control plane, and the switching plane for system resiliency and high availability. If one of them is in trouble, it will not affect the other businesses.
Ø Dual Power Supply Field
CS16809 adopts A+B Dual Power Supply Field Power Supply, supports 1+1 redundancy and N+N redundancy in one single Power Supply.
