Advanced Hardware Processing Technologies

With industry-leading non-blocking switching architecture and multi-core processors, the RG-RSR30-X Series adopts VuiGu and Ruijie’s unique multithreading technology to achieve data plane isolation and protocol control fields, and load balance between cores. Additionally, it allows the allocation of demand-based resources for processing cores. When devices process protocols and control packages, the system can allocate more resources to each processing core. In terms of handling increased packet forwarding payloads, the associated processing core can be allocated with more resources to complete the task. Thus this series embodies easy management and control of resources.

This series supports CPU field control protection, packet distribution and multi-level and QoS mechanisms. It also supports package policy management that is adjusted on the CPU.

Reliable Operating System

RG-RSR30-X Router Series adopts a reliable and stable RGOS operating system that features complete modularization, openness, and strong security.

Complete modularization: The biggest advantage of the modular operating system lies in the independence of each of the different features and processing systems to ensure mutual isolation of failures, significantly increasing system stability. In addition, complete modularization enhances the development and testing of the efficiency of new features without affecting existing ones thereby accelerating the development of new features and technologies.

Open system: The Hardware Abstraction Layer from RGOS allows connection with different devices through the respective hardware driver. At present, the RGOS operating system has been integrated with all Ruijie routers and switches, and this integration will extend to wireless, storage, security, and other product lines. RGOS also presents POSIX (Portable Operating System Interface), which is an international standard interface that allows the core operating system to send and communicate with various modules that are compatible with POSIX.

Strong security: Ruijie Indonesia RGOS guarantees network security of the operating system which is terminated by a variety of technologies. Such as including management of RGOS traffic, protection against installation. This technology improves stable operation in complicated scenarios.

Built-in High-Performance Service Features

Features such as NAT, BGP, IPsec, H-QoS and multicasting are available. Users do not need to buy additional software licenses or service modules, thereby maximizing cost savings.

This series supports built-in flow visualization. Ruijie Indonesia with international standard Internet Protocol Flow Information Export (IPFIX) technology and up to 1: 1 sampling, this series achieves 24/7 network traffic monitoring to timely find abnormal traffic and the risk of failure, ensuring network health and reliable operation . By adopting Ruijie’s patented X-Flow technology, this Series can do traffic sampling without affecting router performance.

VPN features such as IPsec, GRE and L2TP are ready to facilitate the development of private corporate cellular broadband networks using 3G / 4G. This series provides strong processing capacity.

With high-performance and flexible QoS, this Series achieves enhanced network traffic management and control. It offers queuing scheduling, congestion avoidance, congestion management, traffic monitoring, traffic generation, priority labeling, etc. This series precisely guarantees bandwidth, latency, jitter, and packet loss rates from various services. This fulfills “service partitions” for various users and services. This series also supports up to 5 levels of H-QoS features for uplink and downlink, enabling high-performance QoS deployment and centralized management.

Highly Efficient Distributive Forwarding Technology

This series adopts the unique REF Indonesia Ruijie, high-speed packet forwarding technology. High-speed forwarding tables can be created before packet forwarding. The system can therefore directly process packet forwarding based on a table. This avoids through data links and network layers to improve forwarding efficiency.

Through X-Flow technology, forwarding performance will basically not be affected even when services such as QoS, ACL, NAT and PBR are activated on the processing plane.

Strong Routing Processing Capabilities

IPv4 statistical routing and various routing protocols are supported to meet different network requirements. In addition, this Series enables the policy routing feature that can manage flexibility and send network traffic to meet the demand for routing in the financial, government, corporate, etc. industries.

Advanced X-Flow and fast forwarding technology together with leading features such as GR, FRR and BFD enhance the convergence relationship of traditional routing protocols to achieve rapid convergence of large scale networks.

Carrier-class Reliability

Modular software design: Ruijie Indonesia adopts full modular design to significantly decrease the coupling correlation of each functional module and increase software stability.

Multiple backup mechanism options: supports Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) and integrated with Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD / DLDP) protocol to implement VRRP substitution. Additionally, link backup and route backup are supported.

Integrated RGOS operating system: All RSR series routers use the same RGOS operating system for easy maintenance.

Simplified VPN Deployment and Management

This series adopts Ruijie’s unique VPN solution to achieve a centralized VPN configuration. This allows zero configuration for access, VPN differentiation configuration, and automatic negotiation deployments. The solution therefore supports the deployment of large branch VPNs with centralized remote maintenance.
